Harvest Happenings Community Fall Festival & Alton Food Pantry Donation Drive

Fall fun is back at Cold Spring Farm with our annual Harvest Happenings on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, from 12–4 PM! This free, family‑friendly event brings the community together for a day of music, great food, local vendors, and plenty of fall cheer—all set against the scenic backdrop of Cold Spring Farm in Alton, NH.

This year, we’re thrilled to add a new community element to the festivities: a Donation Drive benefitting the Alton Food Pantry (Alton Community Services). As temperatures drop, the Pantry is in special need of essential items, and we’re inviting everyone attending Harvest Happenings to help support local families.

The Importance of Reviews when Wedding Planning | Why You Should Read Them and Why You Should Leave Them

Planning your wedding involves making countless decisions, both large and small. Everything from cake flavors and color palettes to your vendor team, and wedding venue requires careful consideration and research. While this process can be fun at times (who doesn’t love a cake or dinner menu tasting?!), it can also be stressful to sift through all the options to find the ones that truly fit you.

The Brief History of Cold Spring Barn | A New Hampshire Wedding Venue

Our journey to becoming a New Hampshire wedding venue has been a remarkable one. We take pride in the years spent building up what was once raw land into the 2nd place winner of New Hampshire Lakes Region Best Wedding Venue of 2024. While building a barn wedding venue was not originally in our plans as we purchased this land, the theme of building and fostering community ran deep through every step of our evolution. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity we have to care for this land, the community that has helped and supported us throughout this journey, and the bonds we have created and strengthened throughout the process.

The Cold Spring Farm Dogs

Have you ever attended a wedding where the signature drinks were named after the couple’s dogs? Or maybe there was a picture of their pup on the cocktail napkins? This is one of our favorite things to see at weddings (besides getting to meet the actual dogs of course!) If you are planning to do something similar – we see you and we get it, we’re dog people too.

If you have been to the farm or you follow Cold Spring Farm on social media you have likely met or seen our beloved pups. Unlike the horses, they are mostly kept away from weddings and events, and likely won’t be gracing the backgrounds of your sunset photos, but they are still an integral part of our life at the farm. They are our enthusiastic greeters, security system, source of never-ending silliness, comfort, and best friends.  It is safe to say we are “dog people” in every sense of the word, and we would love to take this moment to introduce you to our furry family members.

Get to Know the Horses at Cold Spring Farm

Since embarking on our journey into the wedding and event space, our horses have been a constant draw of attention and inquiry from couples, photographers, and guests alike. Their presence has graced the backdrop of countless wedding portraits and ethereal sunset photos here at Cold Spring Farm. While they certainly add ambiance, personality, and quintessential New England charm to every wedding and event we host, we also want to pay tribute to their history and the gifts they bestow upon our daily lives as their grateful caretakers.
