Take A Hike
Mount Major - Make room in your schedule to take in one of the best views in all of southern New Hampshire. With multiple trail options leading to the summit, you can choose your own adventure when it comes to difficulty and time. A round trip hike to the summit totals just 3-3.9.mi based on your chosen path, and the reward at the 1,786' summit is one of the most stunning views of Lake Winnipesaukee you’ll find. There is a large free parking lot located at the trailhead on Rt.11, but it does fill up on nice days so we suggest getting there early or carpooling when possible. We heavily suggest taking in a sunrise at the summit if you’re up for it - you won’t regret it. If planning for a group of 15+ to hike together, it is suggested to register in advance.
